  • Victory Knitting: Sunday Skills for Knitters with Eileen Adler

    Be victorious learning essential knitting skills over four Sundays in July with six easy and fun projects! You can register for all four classes, or just for the ones you want to take. For more details, check out the class page. Victory Knitting with Eileen
    • Big Victories!
      • Continental Cast-on: also known as 'long-tail' or 'slingshot'
      • Knit and Purl stitches: these are the only real stitches in knitting
      • Garter stitch: knit every stitch, every row
      • Ribbing:alternate knit and purl stitches every row
      • YO: Yarn-over - a lacy way to add one stitch (increase) to a row
      • K2tog: Knit-two-together - an easy way to take away one stitch (decrease) from a row
      • Kfb: Knit-front-and-back - another (unlacy!) way to add one stitch to a row
      • Bind-off: how to end your knitted piece so it won't unravel
      • Mattress stitch: used to sew side seams together
      • Circular Needles: great for working with long patterns like afghans and shawls, and round projects like hats, socks, and gloves

  • Felted Coin Purse with Ana Garcia

    • Help for Stuck Projects with Eileen

      Have knitted UFOs hanging around your place? Unfinished Objects sit in your basket, looking at you accusingly and taking room away from new yarns! Eileen will help you with finishing issues you may have to get those UFOs done. This class is not a drop-in group; students must pre-register and contact Eileen before the class so she can discuss what finishing assistance is needed.(If you would rather call her, please call the shop at 858/272-8185; we'll have her call you back.)

      Classes are limited in size to 5 students.

    • Crochet & Tunisian Crochet with Anne

      Anne teaches any level of crocheter; she is very skilled in Tunisian and beaded crochet.

      Whether you want to learn to knit from the beginning, or want help on a technique, pattern, or project, Jan can help you out!

    • Knitting or Crochet Clinic with Julie

      Drop-in class - come on by and ask Julie for help with your knitting questions - especially socks!
      • Dates: Saturdays
      • Times: 1-5 pm
      • Cost: $5/half-hour

    • Intermediate/Advanced Needlepoint with Nancy

      Nancy is an expert in choosing threads, stitch patterns, and colors! Morning and afternoon sessions held.
      • Dates: Alternate Tuesdays; one Saturday/month
      • Times: Tuesdays - 9:30-12 pm/12:30-3pm; Saturdays - 10-1 pm/2-5 pm
